HAIRSTORM, Seattle's Best and the West Coast's Premier 80's Arena Hair-Rock Tribute Band, brings you the ultimate live experience of the arena hair-rock scene that exploded in the 1980's. Based in Seattle and made up of seasoned and talented musicians, HAIRSTORM's powerful hard rock performance is full with all things that are 80's - big hair, leather, spandex, loud drums, fast guitars, screaming melodic vocals - gives the most authentic and best 80's Hard Rock live show wherever they play.
BLAINE BLADES - Lead Vocals and Keyboards
Blaine is the headbanging Hairstorm frontman, and is a Northwest native. Despite the fact that metal flows through his veins, his first vocal and instrumental training was operatic and classical. He trained with the late Maestro David P. Kyle who has instructed many famed vocalists - Geoff Tate, Ann and Nancy Wilson, and the late Layne Staley, just to name a few. Blaine has sold albums in four continents, has been featured on area radio stations, and has performed with local opera and musical theater companies. His love of music was a key factor in choosing not to attend the U.S Naval Academy, though you may find a rare photo of him in uniform. A member of Mensa, he holds a degree in Electrical Engineering in signal processing and amplifier design.
PRIMO - Lead Guitars, Keyboards, and Backup Vocals
Primo just wants to play guitar. Growing up during the golden age of shred in the 1980's, Primo fell in love with the instrument after listening to the guitar mastery of Eddie Van Halen and Steve Vai. Mostly self taught, Primo eventually took up some formal lessons to understand music theory. Then upon moving to the US, he entered music college over at Long Island. Although it was Eddie Van Halen's playing that pushed Primo to pick up the guitar, he acknowledges that Steve Vai was his main influence when it comes to playing the instrument. Living through the 80's, Primo was also deeply inspired by other guitarists such as Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Nuno Bettencourt, Reb Beach, and Yngwie J. Malmsteen. And even though his taste in music and playing has expanded (admiring the recent works of John Petrucci, Guthrie Govan, and Andy Timmons), Primo still yearns for that classic 80's shred exemplified by Hairstorm.
JONNY DANGER - Rhythm Guitars and Backup Vocals
Jonny grew up in Eugene, OR. An incident in his early teens had him being chased by the local Dead Heads, and seeking refuge in a vinyl store called House of Music. There he found the vinyl delights of Slipper When Wet, Night Songs, Operation Mindcrime, and Tribute. Jonny knew what he had to do. He crafted an elaborate plan of buying a guitar, finding his master Yoda, and undergoing a crafty two year plan of carefully torturing his fingers into the deadly weapons they are now. Soon the local scene in Eugene wasn't enough for Jonny. So after he got his degree, he decided to rebel against college and take on Seattle. There he has played in a modern rock project and original band, until he met CJ Mac. CJ reminded Jonny that he must value his roots and upbringing, and bring great honor to his 80's past (OK, mostly that Poison and Judas Priest are pretty damn easy to play). The rest is, as they say, history.
CJ MAC - Bass and Backup Vocals
Mac has been holding down the bottom end for a handful of metal bands for several years. He has toured the western United States extensively and has performed in bands that have opened for the likes of Poison, Tesla, Autograph, and more. A native of the Pacific Northwest, Mac's influences include Geddy Lee, Steve Harris, Rudy Sarzo, Cliff Williams, John Paul Jones, and the incomparable Derek Smalls.
JESSE JAMEZ - Drums, Percussions and Backup Vocals
Jesse is an active drummer in the Seattle music scene playing with a number of bands and musicians in and around the Seattle area. Originally from Haledon, NJ, Jesse has also played and toured with alt-rock band, Fall From Grace. Considered by his fellow musician peers as a technical and articulate drummer, Jesse was mentioned in the Dec 99 news section of Modern Drummer magazine. Other achievements include endorsement deals with various drum products such as Soultone Cymbals, Silverfox Drumsticks, and Aquarian Drumheads. Besides being a prolific drummer in the Seattle music scene, Jesse is a renowned business owner successfully managing Uberbeatz Studios, a rehearsal and recording studio in Lynnwood, WA. Jesse's drummer influences include Steve Smith, Nick Menza, Tommy Aldridge, Deen Castronovo, Blas Elias, Scott Travis, and Tommy Lee.
